What is a strattle bet?

A strattle bet is a betting option that involves placing an equal stake on both the "win" and "place" part of a race. This basically gives the bettor two chances of winning their stake.

For instance, if a horse wins, the bettor receives double the stake since the bet applies to both the win and place portion of the race.

If the horse finishes second or third, the bettor's place bet will be successful, resulting in a return on the investment. However, if the horse finishes outside the top three positions, the bet is considered a loss.
