What happens to Elizabeth Proctor after Abigail accuses her of using witchcraft harm her?

After Abigail Williams accuses Elizabeth Proctor of using witchcraft to harm her, Elizabeth is arrested and taken to jail in Salem, Massachusetts. She is one of the many people who are accused of witchcraft during the Salem witch trials, and she is ultimately found guilty and sentenced to death. However, before she can be executed, she is released from prison when Abigail confesses that she lied about Elizabeth's involvement in witchcraft.
