Is little house on the prairie autobiography?

The Little House on the Prairie books are not autobiographies. They are fictionalized accounts of the author Laura Ingalls Wilder's childhood and early adulthood. While many of the events and characters in the books are based on real people and events from Wilder's life, they are not strictly autobiographical.
