Write the last name of the person being interviewed, followed by a comma, followed by his first name and a period. For example, an interview with Barack Obama would read, "Obama, Barack."
Write the name of the interview in quotation marks if it has one, such as, "'A Chat with the President.'" If the interview is nameless, write "Interview with [interviewer's name]" -- for example, "Interview with Katie Couric."
Write the name of the news program italicized, followed by a period, and then the network followed by a period -- for example, "CBS Evening News [italicized]. CBS."
Type the name of the local network affiliate followed by a comma, and then the city in which the affiliate is based, followed by a colon -- for example, "WCBS, New York:"
Write the date, a period, and then the format of the interview, whether it is radio or television. The entire citation should follow this example: Obama, Barack. Interview by Katie Couric. CBS Evening News [in italics]. CBS. WCBS, New York: 5 March, 2011. Television.
Follow the same format for Chicago style, but replace the period after the network with a comma, and don't indicate the interview format.
Cite the television program but not the interview itself. Write the last name of the news program's producer followed by a comma. Write his last name followed by a period -- for example, "Smith, Joe."
Write the year of the program's air date in parentheses followed by a period -- for example, "(2011)."
Write the name of the episode, such as CBS Evening News, March 5, 2011.
Indicate the executive producer of the television series by writing "In" followed by his name and title in parentheses and a comma -- for instance, "In F. Williams (Executive Producer),"
Type the name of the television series italicized followed by a period -- for example, "CBS Evening News."
Indicate the city in which the network affiliate is based, then a comma, then the name of the network affiliate and a period. The entire citation should read as follows: Smith, Joe. (2011). CBS Evening News, March 5, 2011. In F. Williams (Executive Producer), CBS Evening News [italicized]. New York: WCBS.
