Why was William Shakespeare a famous atheist?

There is no evidence to suggest that William Shakespeare was an atheist. In fact, there is evidence to suggest that he was a devout Christian. For example, many of his plays contain Christian themes and references. Additionally, Shakespeare was a member of the Church of England and was buried in a Christian cemetery.
