Where did WEB Du Bois teach?
WEB Du Bois taught at several universities and colleges during his career. He started teaching at Wilberforce University in 1894 and later moved to Atlanta University in 1897, where he founded the Department of Sociology and served as its chair for 25 years. He also briefly taught at Fisk University in 1892. In 1910, he became the first African-American to earn a doctorate from Harvard University and went on to teach at the University of Pennsylvania in 1910, where he served as a professor of sociology until 1948. Additionally, he taught at several other institutions throughout his career, including the New School for Social Research, the City College of New York, and the University of Ghana.
