How did W E B Du Bois work towards freeing slaves?

W.E.B. Du Bois was not involved in freeing slaves. He was born in 1868, after the abolition of slavery in the United States. Du Bois was a civil rights activist, sociologist, historian, and Pan-Africanist who focused on the advancement of civil rights for African Americans and other marginalized communities.
