Ursula is best known for her large-scale paintings and installations, which often incorporate found objects and materials. Ursula is also an active educator and has taught at various institutions, including the University of Pennsylvania and the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. She is currently a Professor of Art at Columbia University.
