Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase encounter the Sirens near Circe's Island, as described in Chapter 10, "The Lotus-Eaters," in Rick Riordan's book "The Sea of Monsters."

As Percy and Annabeth navigate the waters near the island, they sense an uncanny beauty and harmonious music that envelops them. Intrigued, they follow the source of the sound until they reach a beautiful small island teeming with lush vegetation.

Upon approaching, they hear enchanting voices singing in perfect harmony. The sweet melody captures their senses, enticing them to come closer. Percy realizes the alluring calls belong to the Sirens - mythical sea nymphs famous for their irresistible singing.

Despite the danger, Percy urges Annabeth to resist the enchanting music. He manages to break the spell by distracting her with a conversation about their previous adventures and the search for the Golden Fleece.

Their strategy enables them to overcome the lure of the Sirens and continue their quest towards their ultimate destination.
