What is a building story?

A building story, or storey (Commonwealth English), is a space within a building that is situated between one finished floor and the finished floor next above it, or if there is no finished floor above it, the ceiling. For example, the ground floor would be the first storeys and the floor immediately above that second stories and so on.

Storey height/floor to ceiling height: It represents the vertical measure between two successive floor levels finished floor to finished floor in case of conventional slab and finished floor to bottom surface of slab without false ceiling in case of waffle slab/ grid slab system
