Is Mary novel Frankenstein an epistolary novel?

Mary Shelley's novel Frankenstein is not an epistolary novel. An epistolary novel is a novel written as a series of letters or emails between characters. Frankenstein, on the other hand, is written in the form of a frame narrative, in which one character, Robert Walton, tells the story of Victor Frankenstein to another character, Margaret Saville.
