Were the survivors of titanic men or women?

More women than men survived the sinking of the RMS Titanic. Out of the approximately 706 survivors, around 337 were women and 328 were men. This reflects the social structure of the time, as women and children were generally given priority in evacuation procedures for sea disasters.
