Instructions:
1. Place the trumpet mute on a flat surface.
2. Cover the ding with a piece of cloth.
3. Use the hammer to gently tap the cloth-covered ding until it is even with the rest of the mute.
4. Be careful not to hit the mute too hard, as this can damage it.
Tips:
- If the ding is small, you may be able to fix it by simply pressing on it with your finger.
- If the ding is large or deep, you may need to use a more aggressive technique, such as using a mallet or a jeweler's hammer.
