What did Norman Bates do to his mother in the movie Psycho?
In Alfred Hitchcock's classic 1960 film Psycho, Norman Bates did not actually harm or kill his mother, Norma. Instead, he created an intricate illusion that his mother was still alive and living in their house. Norman dressed up in her clothes, including a wig and makeup, and imitated her voice to create the appearance that she was still present and influencing his actions. In reality, Norma had passed away several years earlier, and Norman was suffering from a severe mental disorder that made him unable to accept her death.
