What happend to James bucanan from manic street preachers?

Richey Edwards disappeared on 1 February 1995 leaving his car abandoned near the Severn Bridge crossing between Chepstow and Bristol. An extensive land and sea search followed. On 23 February, a note was found, addressed to Richey's then-girlfriend. On August 18, his abandoned car was again found, having been set on fire. However, police searches could not find a body in the area and he's presumed dead due to drowning.
