The exact number of musical compositions that exist in the world is impossible to accurately count, as new compositions are created every day. It is estimated that there are anywhere from 100 million to over 7 billion musical compositions globally. This estimate includes compositions from multiple genres such as symphony, pop, film/tv music, traditional folk music, opera, solo vocal and piano works, etc.
