How do you get into the restricted section of library in Harry Potter order Phoenix?

The restricted section of the library requires a signed note from a professor. However, in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry and his friends were able to get into the restricted section without authorization by using the Invisibility Cloak.
