Instructions

    • 1

Stack the pages of the book on the board so they are facing up. The board should be broad enough for the pages to rest on it without hanging over the edges. The slit should be ¼ inch away from the left edge of the pages and should be narrow enough so the pages do not sink into it.

    • 2

Mark at least three spots where you want to staple the pages. Each mark needs to be ¼ inch in from the left edge of the paper. The top and bottom marks need to be ½ inch from the top and bottom edges. The marks between the top and bottom marks need to be evenly spaced.

    • 3

Staple through each mark using the staple gun. The staples need to be long enough to go through all of the pages and should be pointing unobstructed into the slit in the board by about ¼ inch.

    • 4

Turn the pages over and fold the sharp part of the staples against the pages using pliers. The pages are now bound and ready for a cover.
