Make sure you select a card with a nice illustration or photograph on the cover. Think about the person you're giving the card to and what they like. If they like animals, maybe select a card that has a photograph of puppies and kittens sleeping. if the person you are giving the card to is a joker, maybe select a card with a comic illustration on the front. There are countless varieties of cards for every personality type under the sun. By looking carefully for a few minutes, you will surely find the ideal card!

Think about the occasion for which you are giving the person the greeting card. Is it a monumental occasion, like a college graduation? Is it a wedding? Make a lighthearted joke or positive, motivating message for the person. Congratulate them on the event that they are celebrating. If they just graduated from law school, talk about what a high-powered litigator you think they're going to blossom into someday. If they just got married, wish them a lifetime of happily wedded bliss. Keep the tone of your card upbeat.

After you're written your greeting card out, re-read it. Think about how you would feel if you were the person just receiving and reading the card. If you were a newlywed, would your card make you happy? If you had just gotten a significant job promotion, would the card make you feel proud? If you are satisfied with what you have written to the person, sign it, seal it up inside the envelope and you're good to go!
