Take the pictures that will go in the book using a camera. For more exquisite photos, use a professional camera. If you want to use other photographers' pictures, you need to ask them permission. While some may say yes, others may require a small fee or say no. Consider your options if you want to create a free photo book.
Upload the pictures on to the computer and save them in a folder on the desktop.
Open a new Microsoft Word document and insert the pictures from the folder. Start the book on page 3. Put one photo per page. Write a small piece of text underneath each photo, including the location of the photo, the title of the photo and the name of the photographer. Also include a sentence or two on why this photo is important to the photo collection in the book.
Organize the pages with pictures into sections or chapters. Include titles on these, so the reader can recognize why these sections are important.
Create a title page and table of contents for the book. Add the title page on to page 1 and the table of contents on to page 2.
Save the document on the computer.
Print the book using a printer.
Place each page of the book into plastic protectors. To save space, place two pages back to back in one plastic protector.
Place all of the plastic protectors in a binder and share it with friends and family.
Save the document as a PDF file using Adobe software.
Send the PDF file out to online publishers.
Sell the e-book for a small fee on a personal website.
