How to Delete Junk From a Sony Reader

As e-book readers become more popular, they are increasingly coming pre-loaded with opening chapters of books and other bonuses. As the equivalent of the bloatware than comes on a new PC, these pieces may not be of real interest and take up space on your Sony Reader.

Instructions

  1. Removing Files

    • 1

      Press the "Home" button on your Sony Reader. This will bring up a list of all titles currently on your Sony Reader.

      Scroll through the titles on your Sony Reader until you find the title you would like to remove.

      Touch the screen on the icon of the file you would like to remove.

      Press the "Options" button on your Sony Reader to get a list of options for the file you have opened.

      Touch the screen on the option that reads "Delete This Book."

    • 6

      When you get the safety screen that asks, "Are you sure you want to delete this book," press "Yes."
