How to Convert an E-pub File to AZW

  Download and install Kindle Previewer for Windows or Mac. Open Kindle Previewer.

  Locate the e-pub file on your computer.

  Drag the e-pub file over the open Kindle Previewer screen. The Previewer automatically converts the e-pub into a MOBI format and places it into a folder where your original e-pub file is located. Rename the file if desired.

  Plug the Kindle device into the computer. Open the Kindle's documents folder.

  Locate the converted MOBI file. Drag and drop it into the Kindle documents folder.

Calibre

  Download and install Calibre for Windows, Mac, Linux or portable device.

  Open Calibre. Click the "Add books" icon in the menu and browse to add a DRM-free e-pub book to the Calibre library. Click "Open."

  Select the book in the library list and choose the "Convert Books" icon link in the menu.

  Select the "Metadata" icon from the left menu. From the "Output format" drop-down menu, select "MOBI" as your conversion choice. Drop-down list is located in the upper right of the conversion window. Click "OK."

  Plug the Kindle into the computer and select the "Transfer to device" icon to transfer the MOBI file to your Kindle automatically.

  Select the book converted to transfer manually. In the right column, choose "Click to open." Open the Kindle on the computer, and drag the .MOBI file into the documents folder of your Kindle.
