Create a cover for your book in Photoshop or a similar program to make it more appealing to potential readers.
Save your book as a PDF file. This will create a file that can be easily uploaded and downloaded on the Internet.
Choose another format such as "Web page" from the "Save as" drop down menu if you want to save the book in a format other than PDF.
Put your book in a zip file if it is in a Web page format so that all the pages are together in one file.

Create a website using Dreamweaver or Web Studio or download free software like Nvu and add your book as a separate Web page or as a PDF.
Decide how much you want to charge for your eBook. A good range for a 40,000 to 100,000 word novel is somewhere between $4.00 and $6.00.
Write instructions on your site on how to open the zip file or PDF.
Use sites such as Paypal to process payments and eJunkie.com to process downloads.

Polish your manuscript and make sure it has been looked over by people you trust for editorial feedback.
Make sure the manuscript is in a standard font, such as 10 point or 12 point Times Roman or Courier, with one inch margins, justified left, with your last name, the name of the book and the page number in the headers on each page.
Create a cover page with the name of the book, the word count, and your name, address, telephone numbers and e-mail address.
Research e-publishers online that carry books in your genre, find out their submission guidelines and who to submit the manuscript to.
Write a query letter with a short synopsis of the book, the genre, the word count, key demographics of your market (i.e., young adults, etc.), your background, such as education and previously published works, and how you can be reached.
Send the query letter either by e-mail or postal service, depending on the publisher's guidelines, and send the complete manuscript only when requested to do so.
