Does annabeth die in book 3?

Annabeth does not die in *The Titan's Curse*, book 3 of the Percy Jackson & the Olympians series. While she is captured by the Titan Atlas and faces danger, she is rescued by Percy and Thalia.

However, she does get seriously injured by the Fury Alecto, who transforms into a monstrous form and attempts to kill Annabeth. This injury, coupled with the emotional strain of the quest, leads to her fainting at the end of the book.

So, while she doesn't die, *The Titan's Curse* is a pretty harrowing experience for Annabeth!
