Who is the original man?

The original man is considered to be the earliest known representative of the species Homo sapiens. Although there is ongoing debate and new discoveries emerging constantly, one of the oldest hominid fossils that might possibly belong to Homo sapiens is the Omo remains found in Ethiopia and estimated to be around 195,000 years old. These remains are highly significant but should be examined in conjunction with a wider range of fossil and archaeological evidence when discussing the origin of humans.
