Who invented twerk?

The origins of twerking are complex and somewhat disputed, but it is believed to have originated in West African dance traditions, particularly those of Senegal, Guinea, and the Ivory Coast. From there, it spread to other parts of Africa, and eventually made its way to the Americas, where it became a popular dance style in hip hop culture. It was popularized in the US in the early 1990s by New Orleans bounce singer DJ Jubilee.
