How to Make Miniature Arrowheads
Arrowheads have always intrigued people. There are individuals who go digging around looking for them. One reason why people are intrigued with arrowheads is because they are a part of history when Native Americans dominated North America. Holding an arrowhead might bring people closer to the history of Native American wars, buffalo hunting, or training young Native Americans went through to become warriors. Although people may not know the exact history behind a particular arrowhead, they can imagine what took place and they might formulate stories to tell their children, sparking imaginations. However, instead of digging around in your yard or woods, you can make your own miniature arrowheads out of clay at home. By making your own arrowheads, you and your children can recreate Native American stories and games, as well as creating a piece of history that brings you closer to how North America was before colonization and technology arrived.

1
Find a picture of an arrowhead from a book or from the Internet. This will be used as a reference.
-
2
Mix together the charcoal grey and gold clay together. Make sure the colors don't mix together. Just mix the colors enough to where the gold disappears, but is slightly visible.
-
-
3
Shape the arrowhead according to the image you have in front of you. You can make your arrowheads any size you want.
-
4
Take the eraser end of the pencil and press it into the clay to create texture. You can make peaks and valleys using the pencil, just like an actual arrowhead.
-
5
Preheat the oven to 150 degrees Fahrenheit.
-
6
Place the arrowheads you created on a foiled pan that you do not plan to use for cooking. Place the pan in the oven and bake for 10-15 minutes.
-
7
Remove the pan once time is up. Let cool. Once cooled, you have finished your arrowhead.
