Lay wax paper on your work space to keep the Play-Doh from sticking. Choose the color you want your sculpture to be. Play-Doh comes in many colors. You can also blend the colors to make additional colors. Take out the contents of a 10-ounce Play-Doh can of the color you selected. Squeeze and roll the Play-Doh around to warm it and make it easier to work with.
Shape a rough outline of your sculpture with your thumbs and fingers. Roll half of a 10-ounce can until it resembles an egg shape to form the body of a pig. This is a simple sculpture to start with. Use more or less depending upon the size pig you want. Combine cans to make a larger sculpture.
Roll half of the remaining Play-Doh into a ball, and attach it to the right side of your pig's body. Press the shape of the ears on top of the head with your thumb and forefinger. Accomplish this by pinching the Play-Doh on each side of the top of the head to form each ear. Make the ears into small triangles.
Break pieces of Play-Doh of the size you need to add additional elements to your sculpture. Break off two little pieces of Play-Doh for the eyes. Roll them and push them onto the head. Then attach another piece of Play-Doh onto your pig's face for the snout. Flatten it by pressing slightly, pushing two indentations into the snout for nostrils with the tip of your finger. Apply a touch of water to the back of each ornamental element before pressing it on to help it stick.
Roll a small piece of Play-Doh for your pig's tail, and attach it to the back of your pig. Give it a little twist to put the curl in the tail. Define the details of your pig sculpture using a clay sculpting tool to remove the rough edges. Dip your finger in water, and gently run it over the edges of your sculpture. This process will moisten the Play-Doh enough to let you smear it until your pig's finish is smooth.
