In Jurassic Park how did the scientist clone dinosaurs?

The scientific method used to clone dinosaurs in Jurassic Park is called 'de-extinction'. In the film, scientists took DNA from blood found inside the gut of a fossilized mosquito, which had fed on a dinosaur millions of years ago. This DNA was then combined with DNA from present-day animals to create viable dinosaur embryos. These embryos were then implanted in female host birds and raised in artificial nests to create fully grown dinosaurs.
