Instructions

    • 1

Draw a rectangle 6-inch long by 1 3/4-inch wide on your stationery or cardboard. This will be later be the lens frames.

    • 2

Draw the temples--the "legs" that extend from the frame front to behind the ears--on the stationery or cardboard, a few inches below or to the side of the frames. These should be 1 1/4-inch wide at the point where they connect to the frames, and gradually become thinner as they go back to the part that hooks around the ears. Each one should be 6 inches long, and facing opposite directions.

    • 3

Cut out the three individual shapes. Set the "temples" aside. Take the rectangle that will become the frames, and cut out a bell shape from the bottom middle, where your nose will go. Starting half an inch from each edge, cut two rectangular holes for the lenses, each measuring 1 3/4 inches long by 1 1/4 inches wide.

    • 4

Get the "ear hook" pieces and fold 1/8-inch tab at the thick end. Glue this folded tab to the ends of the glass frames.

    • 5

Cover the lens holes with red and blue cellophane if you have it. If not, you can use red and blue see-through candy wrappers, or color clear cellophane with a red and blue marker. Just make sure to put the blue one on the left eye and the red one on the right eye.
