You can use the principle of pinhole glasses to address vision issues that arise unexpectedly. If you need to create a pair of glasses on short notice, find some paper that you can rip and modify. You will also want access to some scissors if possible, but if those are not available, tear the paper as best you can. Start by creating the basic shape of the glasses. Trace the shape on the paper if possible. Be sure that it will fit on your face, going behind each ear to secure it. After you have the shape of the glasses, create small holes in the part that covers your eyes. Place these holes so that you can look through them when the glasses are on your face. Make the holes very small to begin with, as it is easier to increase the hole size than it is to decrease it. Adjust the fit of the glasses and size of the holes until you are satisfied with your glasses.
You can use a pair of sunglasses to create your own pinhole glasses. You will also need some other materials, like dark cardstock paper, tape or other adhesive, a pin and scissors or a knife to use to create holes. Start by removing the lenses from your sunglasses. Then cut out the cardstock paper in the shape of the glasses section of your sunglasses. Next, you can use the pin to create several holes in the cut paper. Space these holes out evenly across the paper. You want the holes to be all around the paper, so that you can see through your glasses at many angles. After the holes are all added, attach the paper to the frames by using tape or glue along the rims of the frames and edges of the paper. Let it dry if you use glue. Test your glasses and make any necessary modifications.
