- Embroidery thread, 12 inches
- Hot glue gun with glue

Straighten out the lock of horsehair to make sure it is free of tangles.

Tie the embroidery thread around the lock of hair to secure the hair together at the center.

Fold the length of horsehair in half.

Wrap the excess string around the loop-shaped bend of the horsehair. Wrap the thread around the entire 2-inch width of the folded part several times until the ends of the thread don't show.

Squeeze a small dot of hot glue over the thread edges as they lay flat against the wrapped horsehair. Allow about 20 minutes for the glue to dry.
