Instructions

    • 1

Clean the plastic bottle with a wet cloth to remove surface dirt and grime. Allow the bottle to dry thoroughly before writing on it.

    • 2

Scuff up the plastic bottle with sandpaper. Rub the sandpaper over the areas of the bottle on which you want to print to allow the marker or ink to adhere better to the plastic surface.

    • 3

Write on the bottle with permanent markers. Sharpies are permanent markers that work well for arts and crafts projects. Remove the cap and begin writing or drawing on the bottle.

    • 4

Write on the bottle with white permanent markers. White markers work well to draw outlines and borders, and are also useful for writing on darker shades of plastic. Pentel white markers work well on plastic. The tip of the Pentel marker is large, which makes it a little difficult for printing on plastic. Trim the tip with a utility knife.
