Open a design program on your computer (Adobe InDesign, Quark XPress, Microsoft Publisher) and choose the page layout you want in the "Pages" panel. For a six-panel brochure, you will need two letter-size layouts that will be printed back to back on one sheet either by you or a printer. The sheet will be folded twice to create three equal panels on the front and back. Note: Depending on how the brochure is folded, a panel on the back sheet may be the front of the brochure. Design your brochure keeping in mind how it will be folded.
Choose a design with templates, if using Microsoft Publisher. Create your own design with other graphics programs.
Use high-quality digital images to enhance your brochure. Find images on the Internet that are free for commercial use or scan your own images.
Add text that is clear and easy to read but also attractive to the eye. Use a standard color such as black for information. Logos should be in bright colors and a larger, fancier font to draw instant attention.
Include pricing information toward the back of your brochure.
Print your brochure, using double-sided (duplex) printing, or print a single page and feed the paper back into the printer on the reverse side. Alternately, take your layout files to a printer for professional printing.
