Find an image of a world map that does not have a copyright and save it to your computer.
Open Adobe Photoshop.
Click on "File," and then click on "Open." Select "Browse" to search your computer to find the world map image that you saved. The image should now appear in Adobe Photoshop.
Click on the icon of a magic wand on the left panel of the screen and click on the background of the world map once. Hit the "delete" button on your computer. The background of the world map should now be gray and white checkers, which means the background is transparent.
Use the magnifying glass icon on the left panel to zoom into the image and make sure the edges of the image are clean. If you want to clean up anything, click on the eraser tool in the left panel and hold the left side of your mouse down to erase.
Click on "File." Then click on "Save For Web."
Choose the pre-set "PNG-24" and click the box that says transparency or transparent. Then click "Save" to save your PNG to your computer.
