There are numerous free art projects found on the Internet for children. One art project, on Children’s Bible Lessons Place, is “The Baby Jesus Scene,” which involves gluing and coloring. Free pictures are provided to print, including a star, the baby Jesus and bible verses. Other items needed are paper plates, glue and crayons. Optional additions are hay and glitter. Children glue two white paper plates together and color them brown. The printout pictures are then colored and glued onto the paper plate, creating the manger scene from the Bible.
Another project is a stained-glass cross, by DLTK. For this art project, waxed paper, wax crayons, crayon sharpener, iron, ironing board, construction paper, glue and scissors are needed. By ironing, thus melting, wax shavings on folded waxed paper; children can cut out a cross from the dry wax that looks like stained glass. The cross can then be glued to paper along with an inspirational saying or verse from the Bible.
