The Best Way to Apply Temporary Tattoos at Carnivals

Temporary tattoos are easy to apply and come in a variety of designs. Hearts, frogs, fish and dragons are among the most popular styles. Tattoos can be also be custom designed. You can design a tattoo with your favorite sports team, company logo or school name for your carnival booth. Temporary tattoos stay on the skin for two to five days. Be sure to select a brand that is kid-safe and FDA-approved.

      Use a wet wipe to remove any dirt, makeup or oil from the skin where the tattoo will be applied. Apply on the cheek or arm for best visibility.

      Remove the clear protective backing from the tattoo. Firmly press the tattoo, with the design facing down, on the area of skin that has been cleaned and dried.

      Hold a wet cloth against the tattoo for 30 seconds, pressing firmly. Wet the tattoo thoroughly.

      Peel off the paper backing. Gently rinse the tattoo with water. Allow the tattoo to dry before touching or covering with clothing.
