Open Adobe Photoshop on your computer. If you don't already own the program, you can download a 30-day trial version of it.
Create a new document by going to "File" and "New." Make sure white is set for the background color at the bottom of the box that appears. Set the pixel size for both the width and height of your new image. Make it at least about 400 pixels wide and 200 pixels high so that you have a good amount of space to work with.
Select the "Type" tool by clicking on the "T" key on your keyboard. Click on the left middle of your new image and type a word or phrase.
Play around with different fonts in the font tool box at the upper left of your screen. Do this until you find one you like.
Click on the "Color" box in the right-hand tools panel. Tear the box off of the panel by clicking on it and dragging it to the left. Choose a color for your text by clicking on the colored rectangle on the right bottom of the box. A color picker will appear in a new window that will enable you to choose any number of new colors.
Click on the small "fx" icon at the bottom right of the program. From the small box of choices that appears, select "Bevel and Emboss." Use the "Inner Bevel" style that appears at the top of the new window, and set a number between 1 and 1000 percent for the depth. The default is 100.
