Have the angels sitting on a large scale so as to relay the idea of “judgment.” This scale can be placed on your back or your side to take advantage of the large amount of open space available for a tattoo. The angels are sitting on the scales and are weighed against each other.
If you like the concept of an angel with wings, get two angels on your body. These can be on your appendages, such as your legs and arms, so that one angel is on each. Of you can have one angel on each of your sides, each side of your neck just under your ear, or across the area above your breasts. If you’ve placed an angel on your arms or legs or wrists, you can even make it so that they look like they’re facing each other when your legs or wrists are placed side-by-side. For added intrigue, have a willing friend get a tattoo on one of their appendages and you on the opposite appendage, such as their left leg and your right leg. When you put your legs beside each other, the angels will be facing each other and appear as though they’re “interacting.”
If you have children, or know of a parent-child relationship you’d like to commemorate, have two angels -- one the parent and one the child -- sitting or kneeling beside each other. This tattoo can have any size or location you like, and have the angels interacting in any way you desire. For instance, if you’d like the parent to be protecting the child, have the parent’s arms wrapped around him. You can also have the angels holding each other’s hands as they walk.
Give the appearance that the wings are attached to an object and that that object is fluttering on your body with another object just like it. For instance, have a tattoo of a pair of angel wings around a heart. Place another heart with wings around that one. This gives the appearance that these beings are “flying” up or down your body and are live entities.
If you know a couple people that have passed and you’d like to commemorate their life through a tattoo, consider angel wings. You can place this person’s name, depiction of their face or date they passed in the middle of the wings. You can also put their names or any important date relating to their life or death in a cross and have that cross have angel wings on it. These tattoos -- one for both people you have lost -- can rest anywhere and have any size you like, but place them together.
