How to Make Your Own Sailor Moon Sprites

A sprite consists of a small, flat image used in a video game or interactive program. Sprites, typically used in 2D games, represent the playable character and move or change according to the player's commands. To create a sprite of the anime character Sailor Moon, draw a simplified version of Sailor Moon and save the image as a flat JPG. Sailor Moon's classic pigtails, schoolgirl skirt and bright red boots create a familiar and iconic sprite.

Draw the outline of Sailor Moon's head. Draw an oval head and connect it to horizontal shoulders. Inside the head, draw two circular eyes. Draw a short line for the mouth. At the top of the head, draw the concave curve of the hairline. Connect the ends of the hairline to two long pigtails. At the top of each pigtail, draw a small circle.

Connect the head to the torso. Draw the torso as a thin hourglass shape. At the bottom of the hourglass, draw a wide v-shape. Connect each edge of the "v" to a short line that extends downwards and outwards. Connect the two edges with a wavy line to complete the skirt. Draw the neckline as a wide "v." Under the point of the neckline, draw a large bow.

Add arms and legs. Draw the arms as thin lines that rest next to the torso. Each line ends at the middle of the skirt. Draw the hand as a long oval. Draw the legs extending from under the skirt. Each leg is long and thin. At the end of the leg, draw a pointed oval. Add the boots by drawing an upside-down "v' just below the mid-point of each leg. Add the gloves by drawing a horizontal line just above each elbow. Draw the sleeves with a line that divides the shoulder from the upper arm.
