Select the design you want to print. You could hand draw this design or find a copyright-free image to base your design on.
Trace this design onto tracing paper using a pencil. Cut a piece of rubber carving block that is slightly bigger than the design.
Place the tracing paper drawn-on side down onto the piece of rubber carving block. Adjust the tracing paper until your design is in the chosen location. Use a pencil to draw or shade over the lines of your design.
Lift the tracing paper off the rubber carving block. The design will have transferred onto the surface of the carving block.
Use the lino cutters to carve out the areas of the design you do not want to print. You will only need to carve 1/8 inch deep to create an area that does not print. Skim the blade of the lino cutters across the surface of the carving block for the best results.
Wash the carving in water to remove any excess dust or dirt on the rubber surface.
Press the carving face down into a stamp pad. Cover all the areas of the stamp that you want to print with a layer of ink.
Place the inked carving face down onto a piece of paper. Apply even pressure across the back surface of the carving block. Lift up the carving to reveal your printed image.
