An easy way to decorate school binders is to buy binders that have clear plastic pockets on the outside. Put your schedule in the sleeve to help you stay organized, or place pictures, photos of yourself, drawings, or anything you like to help make the binder look attractive. If multiple photos slide around too much inside the plastic sleeve, try gluing them all to one piece of paper that you've cut to the size of the binder pocket. Glue them to colorful wrapping or construction paper to make the insert more decorative.
Put stickers on your binder to make it more interesting. To make your own design, cut shapes out of colorful contact paper. Make a decorative pattern, an animal, the name of the class that the binder is for, a pleasant landscape scene or anything you like, to stick on the binder. Alternatively, cut out the letters of your name and stick them on the binder to make it clear who owns the binder.
Glue small decorations to the binder, such as buttons, glitter, ribbons, pictures, paper cutouts or sequins, using hot glue or another strong glue. Alternatively, glue a fabric covering to the binder; add other decorations on top of the fabric such as cutout fabric shapes. Or, use decoupage to cover the binder with artsy cutouts from magazines and newspapers. You can decoupage letters and photos that reflect your school spirit and any of the sports you play or watch.
Paint the outside of a binder with blackboard paint to create a surface that you can draw on with chalk. Blackboard paint turns a binder into an artsy toy to play with during lunch or if you finish an assignment early while you're in class. The chalk will wipe off when the binder is placed in a backpack or bag, so erase designs before carrying your binder to another class.
Use dividers within the binder to separate materials for each class, and decorate the dividers to fit with the theme of each class. For example, draw a decoration made out of numbers on the divider for math class and a book on the divider for English class. Add a decorative page at the front of the binder by filling a plastic sheet protector with a collage of pictures or artwork you like. Use a glitter or paint pen to write your name and contact information inside the binder's cover so that anyone who finds it will know whom to return it to if you lose it.
