What was Steven culture?

Steven Universe is an animated television series created by Rebecca Sugar for Cartoon Network. The series takes place in the fictional town of Beach City, Delaware, and follows the adventures of Steven Universe, a young boy who is half-human and half-Gem. Gems are a race of extraterrestrial beings who are able to shapeshift and use magical powers.
