Make your own color wheel by drawing a circle on paper. Mark the center of the circle with a pen and then split the circle into 12 sections. The color wheel should now resemble a pizza made up of 12 slices. Paint one section red and label this "rojo." Move four sections across in a clockwise direction and paint the fourth section yellow. Label this section "amarillo." Now move across another four sections and paint a section blue. Label this section "azul." You now have the three primary colors painted onto the color wheel and labeled in Spanish.
Continue to fill in the sections of the color wheel. Mix yellow and red paint to make orange and use this to color the second section out of the three remaining sections situated between red and yellow. Label this "naranja." Repeat this process for the remaining colors by mixing yellow with blue to make green. Label this section "verde." Mix blue with red to make purple and label this section "purpura."
Fill in the remaining sections on the color wheel by mixing the color on either side of the empty section. For example, you should mix red and orange to fill in the section that lies between those two colors and label this section "rojo-naranja," which translates as "red-orange." You now have a full color wheel with all the colors labeled in Spanish.
Look at the color wheel to memorize the names of the colors. When you feel you are able to remember the Spanish names, ask a friend to test you.
