Dear Diary,
Today was...well, let's just say it was the most amazing, terrifying, and utterly bizarre day of my life. It started out as a normal, boring day, just like every other day of my life. Uncle Vernon was being his usual grumpy self, Aunt Petunia was fussing over Dudley's latest tantrum, and I was stuck in my cupboard under the stairs, feeling like a forgotten sock.
Then, everything changed. A giant named Hagrid - yes, a giant - arrived at our house and told me the most unbelievable thing: I'm a wizard! He said I'm going to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. A school for wizards?! How is that even possible?
Hagrid took me to Diagon Alley, a hidden street full of magical shops. We bought wands and school supplies, and I saw things I never thought existed - talking owls, self-stirring cauldrons, and even a magical candy shop that sold exploding bonbons!
The only problem is, I don't know anything about magic. I've never even used a wand before! But Hagrid assured me that I'll learn everything I need to know at Hogwarts.
I'm scared, excited, confused, and full of wonder all at the same time. I can't wait to start school, but I also have a feeling it's going to be a crazy ride.
I wonder if my life will ever be normal again?
Wish me luck!
Harry
