How Do I Hang My Paintings in My EZ Up Canopy?

How you can display your paintings at a craft fair depends heavily on the weight of the paintings. Acrylic paint on stretched canvas is much lighter than mixed media works with heavy mediums, adhesives and collaged items. Heavier items may require a purpose-purchased art display system or a homemade display grid made of pipe and chicken wire covered with fabric. Light paintings can, however, be hung from the EZ-Up Canopy itself.

Instructions

    • 1

Slip a zip tie through the end link one of the chains. Put the zip tie around the top bar on one side of the tent, and secure.

    • 2

Pull the chain straight down to the ground, and drive a stake through the last link, holding the chain taut. Weights can be used instead on asphalt or other hard surfaces.

    • 3

Move approximately 4 inches down the top bar and add another chain.

    • 4

Slip S-hooks through one link on each chain, making sure they are of even height. Hang your painting on these hooks.

    • 5

Repeat the process to add more display area in your tent. Each set of chains will typically hold two to four paintings, depending on size.
