How to Use an Isabella Multi-Shaper II

Creating intricate patterns using paper and scissors can change the way a piece of art looks, but it can be difficult to achieve the same pattern over and over again. The Isabella Multi-Shaper II is a device that instantly cuts a pattern into a piece of paper to create a boarder or a design, such as a snowflake. All you need to do is insert the piece of paper and press down to make the first cut.

Instructions

    • 1

Grasp the magnetized upper portion of the Multi-Shaper II and pull up. This will pull it off the base and allow you to insert the paper that you wish to cut. Slide the paper into the base and position it so the area of the paper you wish to cut is centered under the upper portion.

    • 2

Gently press down on the upper portion of the tool. The top and bottom portions have magnets in them, which allows the Multi-Shaper II to close easily and keep the paper from sliding around. Place the palm of your hand over the top of the tool and firmly press down to make the first cut.

    • 3

Grasp the top portion of the machine with your fingers and pull up to open it up again. Slowly pull the paper out from the machine. The pattern will be cut into the paper in the location that was in between the upper and lower portions of the Multi-Shaper II.

    • 4

Slide the paper left or right in the Multi-Shaper II and line up the edge of the first cut with the edge of the tool to continue the cut, making a boarder around a sheet of paper. Turn the paper to the left or the right and line up the corner with one of the shapes printed on the tool to cut a specific shape, such as a triangle or pentagon.
