- 1 ounce sweet vermouth

- 1/2 ounce lemon juice

- 1/2 ounce simple syrup

- 1/2 ounce grenadine

- 1/4 ounce Cointreau

- 1/4 ounce orange bitters

- 1 cup ice

- 1 orange slice, for garnish

- 1 maraschino cherry, for garnish

Instructions:

1. Combine all of the ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.

2. Shake vigorously for 10 seconds.

3. Strain into a chilled coupe glass.

4. Garnish with an orange slice and a maraschino cherry.

Tips:

- To make a non-alcoholic version of the Queen Elizabeth Doubonet cocktail, omit the gin and Cointreau and replace them with 1 ounce of cranberry juice and 1 ounce of orange juice.

- If you don't have a cocktail shaker, you can also mix the ingredients in a glass with a spoon. Just be sure to stir vigorously until the ingredients are well combined.

- This cocktail is best served immediately.
