- 2 ounces gin
- 1 ounce dry vermouth
- 1 ounce sweet vermouth
- 1/2 ounce lemon juice
- 1/2 ounce simple syrup
- 1/2 ounce grenadine
- 1/4 ounce Cointreau
- 1/4 ounce orange bitters
- 1 cup ice
- 1 orange slice, for garnish
- 1 maraschino cherry, for garnish
Instructions:
1. Combine all of the ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
2. Shake vigorously for 10 seconds.
3. Strain into a chilled coupe glass.
4. Garnish with an orange slice and a maraschino cherry.
Tips:
- To make a non-alcoholic version of the Queen Elizabeth Doubonet cocktail, omit the gin and Cointreau and replace them with 1 ounce of cranberry juice and 1 ounce of orange juice.
- If you don't have a cocktail shaker, you can also mix the ingredients in a glass with a spoon. Just be sure to stir vigorously until the ingredients are well combined.
- This cocktail is best served immediately.
