Compare acrylic powders from a variety of transparent pink shades. Select a shade to suit your complexion, based on your skin tone -- a bluish pink shade for cool complexions or golden pink for warm tones.
Pour enough transparent pink acrylic powder for application to your nails into a dappen dish. Use the powder in the dappen dish as the base for your nails.
Add a hint of white acrylic powder to the transparent pink shade.
In a separate dappen dish, pour enough liquid monomer to cover the end of a nail professional's brush. Use an oval No. 6 or No. 8 brush.
Dip the brush into the monomer liquid until all bubbles disappear. Press the brush against the side of the dish to remove excess liquid.
Dip the brush into the powder and hold it for two seconds to allow the powder to absorb the liquid and form a bead at the tip of the brush.
Set the bead on your nail to test for the right shade. Add more white to the powder base for a lighter transparent color, more pink to intensify transparent color, or add a drop of red powder for a deeper pink transparent shade.
Place a cork on the dappen dishes to re-use any extra powder and liquid.
