    • Established in 1880, the National Gallery of Canada is one of Canada's oldest cultural institutions.     The Glenbow Museum

    • The Glenbow Museum combines a museum, art gallery, library and archives to help create the complete Western Canadian experience. Boasting over a million artifacts, and approximately 28,000 works of art, the Glenbow is one of Canada's largest museums. The museum features exhibits dedicated to the heritage and culture of Western Canada, as well as exhibits with artifacts and artwork from around the world.

    Musée de la Civilisation

    • The Musée de la Civilisation complex is quite vast, including a 18th-century house with an inner courtyard, an 18th-century rowboat, a stone wharf, a number of exhibition rooms and auditoriums and two historic sites. The Musée de la Civilisation offers traditional and unorthodox themes as well as a number of hands-on activities for visitors.

    Art Gallery of Nova Scotia

    • Established in 1908, the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia offers two venues for visitors, one in Halifax and the other in Yarmouth. The Gallery features over 14,000 pieces of art.     • Established in 1900, the Art Gallery of Ontario is one of North America's largest art museums. The Gallery's collection includes over 79,000 works. The collection includes a wide variety of historic Canadian art, as well as many European masterpieces and contemporary artwork. The collection also includes more than 40,00 photographs.

    McMichael Canadian Art Collection

    • The McMichael Canadian Art Collection offers a uniquely Canadian experience to visitors. The McMichael houses are made from field-stone and logs, and house almost 6,000 works of art. The focus of the Collection is entirely on Canadian artwork, and thus the collection contains only Canadian pieces, making it the only major public art gallery devoted entirely to Canadian artwork.

    • Established in 1912, the Winnipeg Art Gallery is Canada's sixth largest gallery, as well as its first civic art gallery.
